A Sad Day

Sleeping Beauty has opened her eyes;
Her life filled with deceit and lies.
The Handsome Prince never came.
Now, who was she to blame?

Oh, what a sad day, in deed;
Beauty is awake and sees.
It’s time to get out of bed.
Can Beauty ever raise her head?

Wishes of love have gone by way,
And Ugly Truth has come to stay.
Nothing to do but face Ugly Truth:
“Beauty has lost her youth.”

  1. This was the first poem I wrote. Yep, it was from a broken heart.
